Another 2025 Haunt Sneak Peak

There's rain and cold temps predicted for Thursday and on Halloween. We've already dropped to 30 degrees here the past two nights, so we're hustling to get the haunt 100% set up with the carved jack-o-lanterns on Wednesday so that we can do the "official" haunt photo shoot that evening. We accomplished a lot today and did more lighting tests tonight. There are still a few more items that have to go out and still some adjustments needed, but we're close to the finish line.

A Sneak Peak Of Our 2025 Haunt

Our annual Halloween night yard haunts are getting a bit larger and more complex with lighting effects so we have to start setting up in phases making sure things work as planned and that we don't forget anything (we've forgotten a few odds and ends that were supposed to go into the haunt over the years). The number of things that have to be charged, powered up, switched on, or lit before it gets dark numbers ~ 50. We've gotten around half of the haunt up thus far. Wednesday is jack-o-lantern carving day and we should get the rest of the haunt up on Thursday, but here's a sneak peak of what's in store for Friday night on Halloween.

10 Days Until Halloween!

Only 10 days before the high holiday! This year's haunt will be our third reimaging of a "Demons & Devils" themed haunt. Our first take was back in 2005 at our first house. We hope this year's version is the best looking one yet. We may very well retire the theme after this year, just as we've retired the nautical ghost pirate and spooky circus/carnival themes. Some themes are what we call "one offs" and others reach a point where we feel like there's not much more new and interesting we can bring to the table. We have the next 4 years of haunt themes already mapped out.

A Pit Fiend Needs A Pit

For our 2025 haunt, we were simply going to use our "Pit Fiend" mask from Trick Or Treat Studios as a groundbreaker prop, but decided that a "Pit Fiend" really needs to be in a pit! Instead of having a bunch of our 2' tall skeletons trying to escape the fiery abyss, we're going to use the "Pit Fiend" in our 2021 built hell hole prop instead.

2025 Haunt Plans

We've been hard at work prepping for our 2025 Devils & Demons haunt theme. We've added some new characters for this revamped version of our 2021 haunt theme. Alas, we've done pretty much all that we can do for now in our basement. There are lots of prop builds and projects for this year's haunt that just have to wait until we can start working in our garage and outside again in the late spring/early summer.
