Updates about Haunted Eve's Halloween yard haunt, Halloween pumpkin jack-o'-lantern carving, Halloween decorations, prop building, and other Halloween happenings.
Those mannequins are all terrifying - I think your gonna scare some kiddos this Thurs.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed terrifying.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of life sized props. Just started toying around with doing this also. Do you actually use mannequins or do you build a frame yourself.
ReplyDeleteSorry for being a late arrival to your blog, but really enjoying what I see.
Some of the life size props are PVC pipe frames and special "spider joint" fittings on wooden bases (see https://www.spiderhillpropworks.com). To give the upper torso some presence/body we put softball chest protectors over the head and shoulders. The red eye ghost prop is a 2012 zombie prop from Spirit Halloween that we retrofitted with a PVC pipe leg stand with wooden base this year after the metal base broke off after last Halloween. We dress that prop as a different character each year.
