New Pumpkin Carving Tools

Decided to try yet another round of different pumpkin carving tools for this year. We've tried a lot of different brands over the years, many that have claimed to be "pro" level and were worse than the popular pattern brand of carving saws (who needs to learn to sell their various saws by the gross without all the "extra" useless gimmicky items). One brand of replaceable blade pumpkin carving saws doesn't appear to be in business anymore (various online stores do have some leftover stock though). While their system was one of the better ones out there with sturdy blades, the blades would eventually come loose in the handles. Trying to put the blade and handle back together was like a jigsaw puzzle which was not fun to deal with when the handles and your hands are covered in pumpkin! The new saws on the left are actually Japanese Bonsai Tree pruning saws (worth a try) and the ones on the right were found on Amazon. They all look sturdy enough, but we'll find out just before Halloween if they pass muster.

  1. You sure put those through their paces. I got a little set last year but as I only do 1 or 2 they last for awhile. I hope they hold up.
