To kick off the first day of Creepmass, we thought it would be fun to share the Icelandic folklore story of Grýla, the Christmas Ogress, and her 13 sons, the Yule Lads. Grýla lives in the mountains with her thirteen children, but on Christmas, Grýla comes down from the mountains in search of naughty children to feast upon, while her sons wreak mischief on the townsfolk.
