Beware The Leprechaun

Home Depot over the past few years has put out an impressive variety of detailed Halloween props and decorations. This Leprechaun prop looks fantastic. It's a shame so many of these props are indoor use only.

    1. A lot of the HD Halloween props are animatronic with IR motion sensors, motors, and sound electronics that aren't rated for outdoor use. Some are, but not all. We had a Spirit Halloween "Gatekeeper" animatronic prop and even though Halloween night 2011was dry, it was very cold and the IR motion sensor stopped working on the prop the minute the sun went down and the temperatures dropped. We thought it had died, but the prop began working again once it was back in our basement. We reused the prop one more time in 2015 and skipped plugging in the animatronics. Primarily why we stick to using static props and try to create interesting lighting instead.
