They are a distressed bunch this year like they are all moaning.
ReplyDeleteThat was the goal this year, we wanted to make sure they didn't look "happy" and fit the ghostly theme. No smiles allowed. Since the work was done jointly by two different carvers, we both agreed to use only curves, circles, etc. and no sharp triangular angles... that's next year.

ReplyDeleteThat was the look we were going for. Over the years we've tried to finish off each season with "pumpkin portraits", but the weather and life didn't always work with the timing and the pumpkins would be too far gone after Halloween. This year we were able to get the portraits.
