Throwback Thursday Halloween Edition

The Halloween Whopper from Burger King (2015):
Mr. Haunted Eve couldn't wait to try one of these after reading how they were first introduced in Japan and were coming to the US. The Treat: Basically a standard Whopper with A1 steak sauce on it and A1 sauce baked into the bun to enhance the A1 flavor even more. The Trick: First introduced in Japan, they used black squid ink to turn the buns black. But when this Halloween creation was ported over to the US, copious amounts of food dye were used to create the pitch black buns which had a surprise (and harmless) "green" consequence for a few days after consuming. The trick from this tasty treat was not forewarned to consumers and many consumers were party poopers and made a stink about the aftermath of consuming these Halloween burgers and the burger was to not be resurrected for future Halloweens. Mr. Haunted Eve was unaware of such things and immensely enjoyed the burger and felt the aftermath from consuming it was truly in the spirit of Halloween. If Burger King brought back the Halloween Whopper tomorrow, Mr. Haunted Eve would eat one again with Halloween glee.

  1. I kept on saying I was going to try one. My girlfriend would always remind me every time we passed a Burger King. Before I knew it, Halloween was over. So I promised I'd try it the next year. Yeah. Sometimes you just have to act now.
