Pumpkin Carving HQ
Pumpkin Carving HQ is ready to go for this afternoon (with space heaters). Weather is awful here today. 43 degrees currently and showers. High of 45 predicted for today with a low of 32 overnight, with more showers this evening. So we'll carve the pumpkins this afternoon and complete the haunt setup on Halloween morning regardless of rain, sleet, or snow. The full haunt photoshoot will have to be Halloween night. Very tired of the frequent cold and wet Halloweens. This will be our 14th Halloween at this house and we've yet to have a pleasantly mild and dry Halloween here. We had much better Halloweens in this region from 1998 to 2009. 20 years ago on Halloween it was a high of 73 and was still 66 out as of 10 PM. Haven't had a Halloween like that one since! 2013 was mild but was wet. Maybe one of these years?

Carved three yesterday, going to carve one last one tonight.
ReplyDeleteWe carved 13 today. They all have something a little extra so as to go with our haunt theme this year. Back in the mid 2000's we once carved 36 for Halloween. Hands and wrists just can't take that kind of wear and tear anymore.
