Canandaigua Pumpkin Walk 2023
The Ontario Pathways Great Pumpkin Walk was on again last night after a 4 year hiatus due to the 2020 pandemic. Only detractor to the event was they switched to using LED tea lights versus real tea light candles. The half mile long trail was pitch black once you got away from the entrance at the main road. So dark that you couldn't see the trail or the people in front of you. The jack-o-lanterns didn't have an ambient glow around them. It seemed like many of the LED tea light batteries were already getting weak. The red & blue flashing lights from the police cars directing traffic at the main road provided the only real visual interest to the trail. They need some lighting direction from people who know a thing or two about haunt lighting! A few strategically spaced purple and orange LED flood lights pointing up at the trees along the trail would be pure magic. And with today's lithium battery powered mini generators, it would be rather easy to pull off. We had to tweak the color on many of the below jack-o-lantern photos due to them using the LED tea lights.

Looks like a cool event despite lighting difficulties.
