We purchased 10 medium-large jack-o-lanterns from a local roadside farm stand that is a couple miles north of us yesterday. We paid $8/pumpkin which considering inflation these days was quite reasonable. There weren't really many tall large pumpkins to pick from at this stand, so after we unloaded the 10 pumpkins back home, we drove down to another stand we've gotten pumpkins from in the past but they didn't have any of the tall large ones like the one pictured at the back of our pumpkin lineup. They had some very large round and some giant sized round pumpkins but they wanted $30 and $50 for them respectively. We walked! We would have been willing to shell out $20/each for the very large round pumpkins, but those prices were ludicrous so we walked. We still need to procure a couple large tall pumpkins to make it 12 in total for Halloween. Our days of carving 20 or 30 jack-o-lanterns for Halloween night are long gone. 12 fill up our haunt setup nicely at this house.
