We ended up carving 15 pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns for the haunt yesterday. Only one of the original pumpkins we purchased a few weeks ago was lost to rot, so the 4 additional spares we bought last week also ended up getting carved. Perhaps the worst batch of pumpkins we've ever dealt with in the past 20+years. Super thick, dense walls. Extremely difficult to clean, scrape out, and carve. Many seemed to be oversized mutant pie pumpkins. It was a grueling task!
Looks like a murder scene.
