Got the updated old pedestals painted yesterday. Still need an antiquing coat to make them look old and to give the trim some definition. Right now they look like freshly poured concrete. Also put a coat of polyurethane on the bottom of the bookcase. Even though the bookcase will only be on the front porch for a few nights at most, it will most likely be stored in our garage throughout the year, so we will feel better knowing the bottom wood is sealed. The bookcase will hopefully be painted sometime next week and then it will also get an antiquing coat.
