Frankenstein's Lab Bookcase Ready For Painting

Got the backing board installed on the bookcase prop yesterday so all that's left to do is painting. Other than the painting of the bookcase and the updated pedestals, we're pretty much ready for haunt setup on Halloween as far as prop making goes. The bookcase was definitely a trickier prop build than expected. The throne prop build last year was surprisingly easier in comparison. The bookcase is 83" tall, by 22" wide and is designed to fit precisely in the back corner of our porch between the garage wall and front door. The shelves are 9.25" deep. We have an old antique jelly jar cupboard that we used on our front porch for Halloween way back in 2013, but the shelf heights aren't tall enough nor are the shelves deep enough for Frankenstein's laboratory type props. And as of 2020, we started blocking off the front porch using what we call our "social distancing" barricade/treat serving table. It turned out that not having trick-or-treaters come right up to the front door on our porch prevented "traffic jams" and gave us more display space, so the barricade has now become an "Every Halloween" prop. So placing a bookcase against the garage side wall wasn't going to work with the current porch haunt setup, so we had to come up with a custom solution.
