Our Ideal Halloween Weather

For as long as we've been doing a yard haunt (going on 19 years), one of the most critical elements to its success is the weather on Halloween night. We've had more good Halloweens than bad ones, but "great" Halloween weather has been a rarity. We'll always take "very cold but dry" over "warm and raining". Our best Halloween night thus far goes all the way back to 2003. The high of the day was 73 and the overnight low was 51, and it was a dry and calm night. The temperature dropped in such a way by late evening that it created a natural "fog chiller" effect and the fog from our fog machine hugged the ground. Would love more Halloweens like that one!

  2. I LOVE that picture. Here so far we've had a good autumn and a few fogs. But since I live in the UK it is to be expected.
